Wholeness Through Creativity: How AFYC, Shakti Wellness, and Causability Are Restoring Communities Through Art

In a world where burnout and overwhelm have become daily realities for educators, healthcare workers, caregivers, and creatives, art is not just a luxury—it’s a lifeline. That’s the heart behind a powerful new collaboration between Art For Your Cause (AFYC), Shakti Creative Wellness Center, and the Causability Creator Grant program.

Together, these three mission-driven platforms are opening a portal for artists and facilitators to use their creative gifts to serve those most in need of restoration and support.

The Power of Partnership

At the center of this collaboration is a shared belief: art can transform lives, especially when paired with intentional, trauma-informed wellness experiences.

  • AFYC empowers artists by giving them a platform to share and sell their work while supporting causes they care about.

  • Shakti Creative Wellness Center offers a sanctuary for creative expression, sound journeys, nervous system support, and soul-aligned workshops.

  • Causability Creator Grants fund artists and facilitators to bring free or low-cost creative offerings to vulnerable and burned-out communities.

Together, they form a triangle of support: art, access, and activation.

Creator Grants in Action

Through this initiative, creators have launched projects such as:

  • Burnout Recovery Art Circles with guided journaling, collage, and movement

  • Sound & Silence Nights designed to calm the nervous system and release stress

  • Inner Child Mixed Media Workshops that gently reconnect participants with their creativity and playfulness

  • Resilience Retreats for frontline workers and caregivers, offering restorative practices and group reflection

These programs are funded by Causability, hosted at Shakti, and often amplified through AFYC’s network of supporters and donors.

Who Benefits?

These collaborations are reaching people who rarely take time for themselves—those who give and give until there’s nothing left:

  • Teachers navigating burnout and budget cuts

  • Nurses and therapists holding others’ trauma daily

  • Parents managing invisible emotional labor

  • Activists pushing for change without reprieve

  • Artists longing to express but lacking resources

By removing financial and accessibility barriers, this initiative allows these groups to rest, reflect, and reawaken their inner creative fire.

How You Can Support

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Purchase artwork from AFYC creators — part of every sale funds Creator Grants.

  • Sponsor a workshop or art night through Causability.

  • Attend an event at Shakti Creative Wellness Center and witness the magic firsthand.

  • Share the call for artists and facilitators—let others know they can apply for funding and support.

This collaboration proves that when art meets wellness, we create something more than beauty—we create belonging.

Upcoming Feature: “Creative Spirits Gallery Night”

Stay tuned for our next joint event, where grant recipients will showcase their work at Shakti’s Creative Spirits Gallery Night, an evening of art, sound healing, and storytelling. A portion of all art sales will support future grants through Causability.

From the Founders

“We built Art For Your Cause to help artists make a living by doing what they love—and to turn that creativity outward toward the community. This collaboration is exactly what that looks like in action.”
— Liz London, Founder of AFYC
