I heard my mother’s voice again.

Not sure if it was her spirit or I was subconsciously hearing what she had been telling me for 20 years. Something she had seen inside me that I never had acknowledged. That morning her words woke me up saying “Honey! you need to paint!”

Loud and clear three times. on Mother’s Day 2010. Her words filled the room that day. I listened. So I began to paint!

My mother was a quiet giver.

We didn’t have a lot of money, but she was always willing to give something of ours to someone else that she felt might need it more.

My art is a tribute to her life..
